The move follows last year’s acquisition of Hungry.dk by Foodora owner Delivery Hero.
In a statement attached to Foodora’s press release, CEO Hans Skruvfors claimed his company’s growth indicated that the food delivery trend is “here to stay”.
Skruvfors expanded on this in an interview with Forbes just over a fortnight ago, saying:
“Obviously we’re not growing as fast as we did during the peaks of Covid when everyone was staying [at home] but during those two years we have acquired quite a lot of new customers that have established a new behavior.”
Last month, Foodora revealed it needs another 2,000 riders for its Norway business.
The delivery group also recently announced it would be branching out to offer services like dry cleaning and doctor consultations in Sweden.
