Due to the coronavirus pandemic, GO! Express & Logistics has implemented a new way of delivery, which is to limit the contact between the courier and the recipient as much as possible.

GO! Express & Logistics has switched to contactless delivery and collection of parcels and resigned from the signature of the sender or recipient. In addition, when using the delivery notice by telephone, the customer will receive additional information, e.g. regarding delivery or collection times. It will also be possible to deliver or receive the shipment to/from an alternative location chosen by the customer.

In addition to implementing further preventive measures in internal and operational processes, the company has increased storage capacity for customers in the healthcare sector. GO! has also improved its weekend service.

European Commission recommendations

The maximum possible reduction of people-to-people contacts is also recommended by the European Commission in its guidelines for the transport and logistics industry. Member countries should encourage shipping companies to use digital documents, and companies should make every effort to send documents in advance to customers when they know that these documents may be required at loading and unloading points.
As per EC recommendations, drivers should not be required to leave the truck cab for inspection. If possible, they should remain in the vehicle during loading and unloading.
When verifying documents, paper documents should be exchanged at a minimum safe distance. When drivers are required to complete documents, officers should allow drivers to complete them in the truck’s cab.
