Polish Employer Union TLP has an unofficial information regarding inspections related to the German ban on spending weekly rest in the truck cab. They started on 18 June this year.

According to the information obtained by TLP on Sunday 18 June the German Federal Office for Freight Transport (BAG) started inspections related to the ban on spending the 45-hour break in the truck cab.

The ban was introduced in Germany on 25 May this year and the penalties for not adhering are 500 euros for the driver and 1500 euros for the company owner.

In an interview with a BAG officer two weeks ago we found out that inspections are already being carried out. It turns out, however, that they have begun only now.
