As part of SAMSE Group’s strategy to optimise its supply chain, GXO will manage the Group’s omnichannel logistics, overseeing operations from product receiving to shipment. GXO will operate SAMSE’s logistics from two sites in La Boisse, near Lyon, covering a total of 56,000 square meters and handling over 22,000 SKUs with a team of around 100 members.
“This omnichannel site will enable the execution of retail, e-commerce and cross-dock logistics operations, optimised by an array of innovative solutions implemented by GXO,” said Vincent Ricci, Managing Director of GXO in France.
Laurent Géraudie, Supply Chain Director at SAMSE Group, added:
“Our ambition is to ensure optimum product availability at all our points of sale and to offer delivery in less than 24 hours to all our ‘Entrepôt du Bricolage’ stores for our online business.”
Innovations such as palm scanners, E-beacon technology, and an automated guard post will be implemented to enhance productivity and security. This partnership represents a significant step in the SAMSE Group’s logistics transformation, leveraging GXO’s high-performance logistics model to support the Group’s growth and commitment to its customers.
Founded in 1920 and based in Grenoble, SAMSE Group operates 400 points of sale across 67 French departments and achieved sales of 1.9 billion euros in 2023.
