According to industry sources, the acquisition brings Olof MTT’s fleet of around 440 megatrailers into the LIT Group network, significantly boosting capacity on Benelux–UK and Germany–UK corridors. The deal is understood to be part of LIT Group’s long-running acquisition strategy, which has seen the company steadily expand its European footprint in recent years.

Olof Mega Travel Trailers, based in Klundert in the Netherlands, specialises in high-volume megatrailer transport and has an established role in cross-Channel freight flows. Following the takeover, the company is expected to continue operating within the group, supporting LIT’s UK-focused transport activities.

LIT Group, which already has a substantial presence in Poland alongside its core German operations, has not yet published an official press release on the transaction. However, industry reporting indicates that the acquisition is intended to strengthen the group’s competitive position in UK-related road freight at a time when demand for high-capacity trailers on international routes remains strong.
