The Model V0, according to Tresa Motors, has been tested out on every possible road in the Bangalore area. This includes streets, highways and even forest paths. The company boasts that the Model V0 “didn’t disappoint” in any of these environments.

According to Tresa Motors, the running costs of its vehicle are around a quarter of the equivalent sized fossil-fuel powered vehicles used in India.

“Trucks represent 3% of vehicles on Indian roads while contributing to more than 40-60% of different kinds of pollutants! Converting one truck to electric is equivalent to converting 45 2-Wheelers and cars to electric. Electric trucks are important, and we needed them, like, the day before yesterday!,” wrote Tresa Motors on LinkedIn.

The company has now begun working on the Model V0.1, which will see its design simplified further via the use of less parts.

The vehicle’s chassis will be built in-house, while the truck will as sport a new motor as well as the “world’s first truly immersive battery pack”.

The Tresa Motors website states that the lorry is designed for a GVW of between 15-55 tonnes.
