The Polish parcel-locker giant InPost Group has announced its results for 2024, which was a record year in terms of revenue. The operator, active in many European countries, generated PLN 10.9 billion (approx. EUR 2.60 billion) in revenue, up 23.5% year-on-year.

InPost, led by Rafał Brzoska, recorded excellent results across almost all financial indicators. Operating profit (before the deduction of taxes, depreciation, etc. – EBITDA) reached PLN 3.6 billion (approx. EUR 860 million), representing an increase of 33.5% compared to 2023.

Interestingly, InPost also broke its own record for CIT paid, which amounted to PLN 380 million (approx. EUR 91 million) in 2024 (in 2023, the Group paid PLN 270 million / approx. EUR 65 million in CIT in Poland).

“Last year, we once again grew faster than the e-commerce markets in which we operate – and thus increased our market share in all key countries. Last year’s peak once again confirmed that InPost is a reliable and most preferred partner for both sellers and customers. In 2024, the InPost Group set a new record, delivering over 1.1 billion parcels – an increase of 22% compared to 2023,” commented Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost Group.

The company can also report a successful Q4 last year. During this period, the Group’s shipment volume reached 322 million, an increase of 20% year-on-year. Both the Polish and international markets contributed to this result. InPost’s revenues during this time grew by an impressive 26.4%, reaching PLN 3.4 billion (approx. EUR 812 million). This was driven by a significant increase in volume in Poland and the United Kingdom, and by the consolidation of the Menzies Newstrade segment, the company reported.

In addition, InPost invested heavily – in the last quarter of 2024, it allocated as much as PLN 413.5 million (approx. EUR 99 million) for this purpose. As a result, capital expenditures (CAPEX) rose by 32.1%. Of this amount, more than half (63%) was allocated to international expansion.

“Our goal is the continued development of the InPost Group in Europe, which is why we are focusing on expanding our logistics network. Last year, we installed over 11.5 thousand new parcel locker machines. As a result, we increased the number of devices by a record 32% compared to 2023. We have also strengthened our position as a leader in Poland. We are also number one in terms of the number of machines in France and the United Kingdom,” enumerates Rafał Brzoska.

Looking at the operator’s performance in individual markets, Poland saw a further increase in demand for both parcels sent to parcel lockers and for home deliveries last year. This resulted in a record volume of 709.2 million parcels (an increase of 20% y/y). Revenues generated in 2024 were 20.9% higher, amounting to almost PLN 6.5 billion (approx. EUR 1.55 billion), mainly due to higher volumes, the company reports. Adjusted operating profit (EBITDA) amounted to almost PLN 3 billion (approx. EUR 717 million) – an increase of 21% y/y. In Poland, the parcel locker network grew by 15%, exceeding 25 thousand devices.

Meanwhile, the Mondial Relay brand, under which InPost operates in France, Spain, Portugal and the Benelux countries, reached a record volume of 266.7 million parcels (11% more year-on-year), significantly outpacing growth in the e-commerce market. In the B2C segment, volume increased by 26%. The Group grew its revenue by 5.3%, achieving over PLN 3 billion (approx. EUR 717 million). Adjusted EBITDA was PLN 457.2 million (approx. EUR 109 million), 39% more than the previous year. The out-of-home point network increased by 19%, reaching over 31 thousand locations.

The Group also achieved excellent results in the United Kingdom, where InPost delivered 93.2 million parcels in 2024, doubling volumes compared to 2023. The main growth drivers were the C2C and B2C returns sectors. In 2024, revenues in the UK rose to over PLN 1.2 billion (approx. EUR 287 million) – an impressive 164% jump year-on-year. At the end of last year, the operator had a network of almost 12.2 thousand OOH points, including 9.3 thousand parcel lockers.

Operations in Italy also yielded good results for InPost. The operator delivered 22.6 million parcels (41% more y/y), which translated into a 45% increase in revenue – PLN 286.8 million (approx. EUR 69 million). The company’s network in Italy developed dynamically and by the end of 2024 comprised 3.2 thousand parcel lockers – an 84% year-on-year increase.

“In the European markets where we are present, we are already the third largest B2C e-commerce provider. The Group’s priority is to focus on customer needs. The standards of e-commerce consumer service in Poland are our reference point for other markets,” commented Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost Group.

Outlook for 2025

InPost Group expects its revenues for 2025 to grow by between a dozen and twenty-something percent, outpacing the growth of e-commerce market volumes in all regions in which it operates. The company also expects an increase in adjusted operating profit. It plans to accelerate network development and install over 14,000 parcel lockers across all markets.

During the press conference at which the company presented its results and plans, Rafał Brzoska also spoke about the Group’s potential international activities.

“This year we plan to launch door-to-door deliveries in France. This will also happen in other markets – Spain will probably be the next country where we will do this,” PAP quoted Brzoska as saying at the press conference.

InPost will also consider the possibility of acquiring the British company Yodel but does not plan any acquisitions in Germany or the Nordic markets.
