Kuehne+Nagel to open 4th healthcare warehouse in Ireland

Kuehne+Nagel Ireland will shortly open a temperature-controlled facility to meet the growing demands of Ireland's healthcare sector. The site, which is to open before the end of the month, is located near Dublin's airport and seaport. The new facility, together with Kuehne+Nagel three existing healthcare warehouses, means the company boasts of 40,000 sqm of warehouse space dedicated to healthcare.

Referring to the Ireland’s growing healthcare sector in its press release,  Kuehne+Nagel said the country is one of the largest exporters of healthcare products globally, with over 50 FDA-approved manufacturing plants.

The new ware house is HPRA-approved and has been optimised for all storage, distribution, and quality activities. According to Kuehne+Nagel, the facility also uses energy-efficient equipment to maintain the warehouse at a controlled temperature between 15-25 degrees Celsius. It will house 34,000 Euro-pallet positions with segregated loading and unloading gates.
