Luxury in a double-deck truck. Every driver’s dream for ‘only’ $2 million

An Australian family that loves to explore the unknown can travel the world in a luxurious ‘mansion on wheels’. The spectacular vehicle was made on request and cost $2 million.

An Australian family commissioned a specialist company to build a double-deck RV that is large enough to accommodate both parents and six children when they travel across the country. Another condition was to be self-sufficient so that the campers could stay even in an open field, but still have all the amenities at their disposal, such as air conditioning, heating and the possibility to use household appliances.

Warwick Boswerger of SLRV Expedition Vehicles agreed to build the vehicle. Boswerger built a 2-storey 8×8 Commander, with the upper deck for six children and a spacious functional kitchen, dining room, living room and bathroom downstairs. The Commander can accommodate up to 10 people, thanks to an additional pull-out bed. The kitchen is equipped with two ovens, an induction stove, two microwave ovens, a fridge, and a freezer.

There is also a great sound system and several TV sets in the vehicle. The vehicle is powered by a system of photovoltaic panels and a battery that charges while driving.
