A section of one of the busiest motorways in Germany – A1 – will be closed tonight. Traffic will resume only on Monday morning.
A1 near Leverkusen will be closed today (October 19th) from 10 pm to 5:00 am on Monday (October 22). Traffic restriction applies to the road section between Leverkusen West and Köln-Nord. The shutdown is related to the demolition of the bridge at the Leverkusen-West junction.
Drivers should expect major difficulties and traffic jams during the weekend on alternative roads – A3 and A4.
