The model, presented at the Transpotec Logitec trade fair in Milan on 13 May, is aimed at urban and regional distribution, municipal fleets, construction, waste transport and supermarket logistics.
According to MAN Truck & Bus, the eTGM closes the gap between the lighter eTGL and the heavier eTGX and eTGS series. The new model has a permissible gross vehicle weight of 16.01 tonnes, with an optional 16.5-tonne version, and offers up to around 10.6 tonnes of chassis payload.
MAN also states that the truck can be used in trailer operation with a gross combination weight of up to 33 tonnes.

Two to four battery packs
The eTGM is based on the same modular battery-electric system used in MAN’s heavier eTGX and eTGS models. Key components including the drive unit, battery system, high-voltage architecture and thermal management have been adapted for the medium-duty segment.
The truck uses MAN’s eCD210 electric drive, delivering 210 kW, or 285 hp, and maximum torque of 800 Nm in combination with MAN TipMatic 2.

Depending on the configuration, the eTGM can be fitted with two to four battery packs. MAN says this allows operators to configure the vehicle according to the application, avoiding unnecessary weight and cost where the maximum battery capacity is not needed.
The maximum stated range is up to 480 km.

MAN is also stressing bodybuilder compatibility. The company says the eTGM has body-friendly interfaces, optimised wheelbases and a mechanical power take-off shaft.
Typical uses listed by MAN include food and supermarket logistics, municipal operations, construction transport, waste disposal and regional distribution.

Toll and emissions angle
MAN also points to potential operating-cost advantages in countries where electric trucks benefit from lower or zero road tolls.
The company says the eTGM can help operators reduce fleet emissions and support compliance with EU CO₂ fleet targets for heavy commercial vehicles.

MAN Truck & Bus
“With the MAN eTGM, we are putting the ideal electric solution for inner-city and regional distribution transport on the road right now. It is the logical conclusion to our eTruck portfolio and makes MAN a true full-range supplier of battery-electric commercial vehicles,” said Friedrich Baumann, member of MAN Truck & Bus’s executive board for sales and customer solutions.
At Transpotec Logitec 2026, MAN is also presenting the eTGX for heavy-duty long-haul transport, charging infrastructure based on MCS technology, conventional TGX D30 models, construction vehicles, TGE vans and electric and hybrid buses.
