New lorry park opens in Germany with 151 HGV spaces and Instagram selfie box

A new lorry park with 151 spaces for HGVs was opened last week on the A9 motorway near Leipzig, Northern Saxony, Germany. Apart from the huge lorry park, the place also offers 6 restaurants, an outdoor gym and an Instagram-ready selfie box with a swing “to create a new quality of stay".

The lorry park, whose construction was partly state-funded, is part of the 24 Autohöfe chain.

The rest area not only offers lorry parking spaces, but also six different catering options, modern social facilities and an open-air gym.

And there are some surprising features, too, like a five-meter-long aeroplane decorated by the internationally renowned graffiti artist JACE who also gave his colourful touch to the exterior facade, as well.

And the rest area is shaken up by a selfie swing that was also decorated by JACE.
