LO has said it wants to take action to boost the spending power of its members, whose wages are not stretching as far as they once were due to inflation.
Around 23,000 LO members went on strike this morning (Monday), but the industrial action is set grow on Friday, when 38,500 are expected to down tools. Documents seen by tungt.no indicate that 15 Postnord departments at 16 DB Schenker departments will be affected by LO’s strike on Friday.
Logistics wise, the most significant of the strikes that begun on Monday are those affecting ferry services.
According to the Norwegian Truck Owner’s Association, the following routes are affected:
- Drag – Kjøpsvik (Operator: Fjord1)
- Bognes – Lødingen (Operator: Torghatten Nord)
- Halsa – Kanestraum (Operator: Fjord1)
- Molde – Vestnes (Operator: Boreal Sjø AS)
- Festøya – Solavågen, Route C (Operator: Norled AS)
- Anda – Lote, Route B (Operator: Fjord1)
- Oppedal – Lavik: Route B (Operator: Norled AS)
- Sandvikvåg – Halhjem, Routes 4 and 5 (Operator: Torghatten Nord)
- Mortavika – Arsvågen (Operator: Fjord1)
- Hjelmeland – Nesvik – Ombo (Skipavik), Route 1 (Operator: Norled)
- Moss – Horten, Route D (Operator: Bastø Fosen)
