The measures are in place from Monday 19 to Friday 23 January and affect parts of the M25, the A3 and the A245.
All restrictions take place at night only. There are no weekend closures planned.
Overnight lane closures are in place for five nights on key routes around the junction. On the M25 anticlockwise, the outside lane is closed between junction 11 and Cobham services.
On the A3, drivers will face restrictions in both directions. The northbound A3 has inside lanes closed between Ockham and M25 junction 10, while on the southbound A3, the outside lanes are closed between Painshill Roundabout and the M25.
At Ockham Roundabout, one lane is closed overnight from Monday to Thursday, although the roundabout itself remains open. Most lane closures run between 9pm and 6am, depending on the location.
Full overnight closures on the A245
The most disruptive changes affect the A245, which is closed in both directions overnight between Seven Hills Road and Sainsbury’s Roundabout (Bridgewater, Cobham). These closures apply for five consecutive nights.
In addition, Painshill Roundabout and both the northbound and southbound A3 exit slip roads at Painshill are closed overnight.
These full closures operate from 9pm to 6am. Access to the Hilton Hotel and Feltonfleet School is maintained via the Seven Hills Road junction.
How to get around the closures
Diversion routes are signed during the overnight closures. Drivers leaving the A3 northbound are asked to continue to Esher Roundabout and return via the A244, with onward routes depending on whether they are heading towards Cobham or Brooklands.
For traffic exiting the A3 southbound, drivers are directed to continue to M25 junction 10, then return northbound to Esher Roundabout before following the signed diversion routes.
Drivers using the A245 are diverted via Seven Hills Road, A317, A244 or A307, depending on direction and destination.
Drivers planning overnight journeys through the area are advised to check routes in advance and allow extra time while the closures remain in place this week.
