Polish commercial real estate market recorded nearly 1.9 billion euros worth of transactions in 2018, reports Cushman & Wakefield, an advisory firm. The company’s analysts believe that the condition of the Polish commercial real estate market is the best in history.

Cushman & Wakefield predicted that 2018 will be record-breaking in terms of the value of transactions on the commercial real estate market in Poland. They were right. The transaction volume exceeded the ceiling of EUR 7 billion and was the highest in the history of the Polish market.

The highest historical volumes were recorded in the warehouse real estate sector (nearly 1.9 billion euros) and office space (nearly 2.6 billion euros).

In comparison to 2017, warehouses were the second most dynamically growing sector. In this segment, the increase in the transaction value was 72 per cent. The total area of warehouse facilities that changed the owner last year is over 3.2 million sqm or 20 per cent of the total supply of industrial space in Poland.

In 2019, we expect unflagging interest from warehouse and office real estate investors,” comments Jakub Budych, senior consultant in the capital markets department at Cushman & Wakefield.
