Spain: truck traffic restrictions on the AP-7 active this afternoon

Vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tonnes will today be subject to various restrictions on two stretches of Spain's AP-7 motorway, while similar restrictions will apply on the C-32 and B-23 this Sunday.

The information regarding the restrictions was published by Belgium’s road transport association (Febetra) among others.

According to Febetra, on the roads where the restrictions apply, vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tonnes must travel in the right lane, may not overtake, and must not exceed 80 km/h.

The measure will come into force today as follows:

On the AP-7 motorway, between km 126, exit 12B at La Roca del Vallès, Granollers and the junction with the C-60 in the municipality of La Roca del Vallés, as well as km 172, exit 25 at Martorell and the junction with the A-2 in the municipality of Martorell. The restrictions apply between 5pm and 9pm.
On the AP-7 motorway, in the section of Terres de l’Ebre where there are only two lanes, between km 257, exit 35 of Vila-seca, Salou, Reus S. and Port Aventura, in the municipality of Vila-seca, and km 344.8, on the boundary between Tarragona and Castellón, in the municipality of Ulldecona. The restrictions apply between 3pm and 9pm.

Moreover, on Sunday 31st July between 3pm and 10pm, the restrictions will apply as follows:

On the C-32 north motorway, between PO 114, junction 113 of Canet de Mar, in the municipality of Canet de Mar and PO 84.5, from the junction with the B-20 in the municipality of Montgat.
On the C-32 south highway, between km 47.5 exit Gavà, in the municipality of Gavà, and km 60, exit 15 L’Hospitalet, in the municipality of Cornellà de Llobregat.
On the AP-7 North, between km 111.1 exit 11 of Sant Celoni and Montseny, in the municipality of Sant Celoni, and km 133.8, exit 13 of Granollers, Montornès del Vallès and Vilanova del Vallés, in the municipality of Montornés del Vallés.
On the AP-7 southern highway, between km 158 junction of the B-30 with the AP-7, in the municipality of Sant Cugat del Vallés and km 213, junction AP-7 AP-2 in the municipality of Banyères del Penedès.
On the B-23 motorway, between km 8, exit 8 of Sant Feliu de Llobregat and Molins de Rei Sud, in the municipality of Sant Feliu de Llobregat, and km 15.5 of the B-23, at the junction with the AP-7, in the municipality of Castellbisbal.
