The report examines the sentiment of supply chain professionals aged 30 and younger.

The survey in the report found that 99% of respondents agreed that being part of the supply chain is a quality career choice. In addition, as many as 95% expressed excitement for their development path and training opportunities.

Other results showed further job satisfaction among young professionals working in the supply chain sector. Approximately 88% of those surveyed identified their jobs as good, 80% felt it was better than most, and 77% deemed their work as enjoyable.

According to the report, the main reasons young people chose supply chain as a career are the impact that it can have in business, the variety of opportunities, and the fast pace and challenges of keeping supply chains running on time.

This year’s study found that 58% of the young professionals surveyed stated they pursued a supply chain career due to its beneficial societal impact. This figure has risen substantially from 2019, when it was just 13%.
