According to the German insurance company Kravag, the introduction of digital tachograph in Spain has increased the stress on drivers due to the pressures of time and operate the device.
Studies have shown that trucks with mounted digital tachograph had more accidents than those with analogue tachograph. The study was conducted during May 2006 – December 2008. Statistics show that about 21% more trucks with a digital meter of time has been involved in accidents than those with analog.
