Hungarian Gábor Szabados has been named ‘DAF Driver Challenge Champion 2022’. In the international final at Goodyear’s proving ground in Luxembourg, 15 candidates from across Europe competed last weekend for the title. Second and third places went to Pierre Emmanuel Huet from France, and Emanuel Mezei from Romania respectively.

DAF Trucks has commenced delivery of its zero-emission LF Electric distribution trucks for use in urban areas. The first DAF LF Electric will be acquired by the Dutch logistics service provider Nabuurs, which will be using the vehicle to supply the hospitality establishments of the AB InBev brewing company in Groningen.

Dealers of DAF trucks in Germany are said to have been angered by DAF increasing the prices of its lorries on several occasions - often at late notice and occasionally retrospectively. DAF Germany has nonetheless denied any retrospective increase in prices and said that “It is common practice that the goals are adjusted afterwards."
