Just days after one of its ships blocked the Suez Canal, Taiwanese shipping company Evergreen has been in the news again due to a truck carrying one of its containers blocking a motorway in China.

The somewhat ironic accident, which occured on Saturday, was captured on CTTV, and images of the truck causing severe traffic disruption soon surfaced on Chinese social media platform Weibo.

According to Taiwan News, the accident happened in China’s Jiangsu Province on the Changchun-Shenzhen Expressway in Nanjing at 09.55am local time.

As reported in the China Times, Evergreen does not operate in the field of road transport, and the truck pulling the container was not one of its own.

Unfortunately for Evergreen, the fact it was not responsible for the incident hasn’t stopped the images going viral across the globe, causing yet more unwelcome ridicule for the company.

One a more positive note, however, Evergreen’s Ever Given vessel seems to have been successfully refloated in the Suez Canal.
