The powertrain will be moved from Lommel, Belgium to Vestas’ factory in Lindø, Denmark. Maersk will also transport the powertrains to a new Vestas factory in Poland at a later stage.

“Since our cooperation started, Maersk has proven to be a very capable and optimal partner who can serve a lot of our logistics needs globally out of one hand,” said Damien Lhors, Group Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Transport at Vestas.

The logistics company is developing a comprehensive supply chain solution for Vestas, managing both heavy lift and containerised cargo, as well as air freight, customs services, intermodal and warehousing. This integrated approach aims to streamline Vestas’ complex global logistics operations.
