With the acquisition of Tiefkühlcenter Gleisen (TCG), the Nagel Group will acquire centres for the storage of deep-frozen products in Germany.

The Nagel Group, a food logistics giant, wants to take over TCG, which has 27 storage centres for deep-frozen products in Germany. This transaction still requires the approval of the relevant competition authorities.

Frozen food logistics has become an important pillar of the Nagel Group in Germany and we continue to invest in it,” says Carsten Taucke, CEO of the group, commenting on the acquisition.

TCG offers a full range of services, from the storage of deep-frozen products on more than 16,000 pallets in total, through picking to quality control.

TCG Glesien is already an important location for our frozen food supply network,” says Christian Berlin, Managing Director of frozen food logistics at Nagel-Group. The transaction will allow the Group for the integration of the network and further expansion on the German market of deep-frozen products logistics.

The Nagel Group, headquartered in Vermsold, Germany, specialises in food logistics in all temperature classes and operates at 130 locations across Europe. Last year it generated a turnover of €2 billion.
