In addition to regular weekend and night-time traffic bans, many countries will enforce Easter-related holiday restrictions this month. These include:
17 April (Maundy Thursday)
- Austria – from 07:00 to 22:00. Applies to the A12 Inntal, A13 Brenner, and A14 Rheintal/Walgau motorways if the destination is the A13 section between Nößlach and Brenner Nord junctions towards the Italian border. Restrictions apply to HGVs with a GVW over 7.5 tonnes.
- Hungary – from 22:00 to 24:00. Applies to HGVs with a GVW over 7.5 tonnes.
18 April (Good Friday)
- Austria – from 07:00 to 22:00.
- Croatia – from 15:00 to 23:00. Applies to HGVs and combinations with GVW over 7.5 tonnes, and trucks/trailers exceeding 14 metres.
- Czech Republic – from 13:00 to 22:00. Applies to HGVs and combinations with GVW over 7.5 tonnes.
- Germany – from 00:00 to 22:00. Applies to trucks with GVW over 7.5 tonnes and trucks with trailers.
- Hungary – from 00:00 to 22:00.
- Italy – from 14:00 to 22:00. Applies to trucks over 7.5 tonnes.
- Luxembourg – from 00:00 to 21:45 towards Germany. Applies to vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, with or without a trailer.
- Slovakia – from 00:00 to 22:00. Applies to trucks with GVW over 7.5 tonnes and HGVs over 3.5 tonnes with a trailer or semi-trailer. Exceptions apply for international traffic entering Slovakia.
- Slovenia – from 14:00 to 22:00. Applies to HGVs and combinations over 7.5 tonnes.
- Switzerland – from 00:00 to 24:00. Applies to trucks over 3.5 tonnes.
19 April (Holy Saturday)
- Austria – from 15:00 to 24:00. Applies to tractors with trailers where either exceeds 3.5 tonnes GVW, and to trucks, articulated vehicles, and self-propelled industrial machines over 7.5 tonnes GVW.
- Croatia – from 15:00 to 23:00.
- France – from 22:00 to 24:00. Applies to trucks and combinations over 7.5 tonnes.
- Hungary – from 22:00 to 24:00.
- Italy – from 09:00 to 16:00.
- Luxembourg – from 21:30 to 24:00 towards France and from 23:30 to 24:00 towards Germany.
- Poland – from 18:00 to 22:00. Applies to vehicles over 12 tonnes.
