The deal includes Borusan Tedarik’s subsidiaries in Germany, Bulgaria, Hong Kong and China. Borusan Tedarik, which recorded gross revenue of $567 million in 2024, offers contract logistics, finished vehicle logistics (FVL), full truckload and less than truckload ground transport, as well as air and ocean freight and customs services.
Upon completion, approximately 4,000 employees will transfer to CEVA Logistics. The acquisition would add around 570,000 square metres of warehousing space to CEVA’s existing 620,000 square metres in Turkey and expand its domestic transport operations to nearly one million movements per year. The deal would also strengthen CEVA’s network connections with Europe and enhance its presence in the Turkish automotive logistics sector, positioning its FVL operations among the top three in the country. In addition, CEVA’s ocean freight capacity in Turkey is expected to increase by 25 per cent, while its air freight operations would rank among the top five nationally.
CEVA Logistics, a subsidiary of CMA CGM Group, has been expanding its logistics operations globally following acquisitions of companies including GEFCO, Ingram Micro’s CLS division, and most recently, Bolloré Logistics.
Commenting on the announcement, Mathieu Friedberg, CEO of CEVA Logistics, said Turkey had been identified as a strategic market for growth.
“Complementing our existing presence in Turkey with the operations of Borusan Tedarik would put us in a position to offer greater value to our customers and grow faster than the market organically,” he said.
Borusan Tedarik, originally founded to meet the internal logistics needs of Borusan Group, has developed into a significant player in the Turkish logistics sector over the past five decades. Erkan Kafadar, CEO of Borusan Group, described the agreement as a “strong expression of international trust in Turkey.”
The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close once all conditions have been met.
