Check where truck bans are in force in November

As All Saints’ Day approaches, truck traffic will be banned in many European countries. However, this is not the only holiday in the coming month, which will result in traffic restrictions.

Slovenia and some German federal states celebrate Reformation Day on 31 October and many European countries celebrate All Saints’ Day on 1 November. 

31 October – bans before All Saints’ Day

Croatia – from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

France – from 10 p.m. to midnight In France, the traffic ban for trucks covers vehicles with a GVW exceeding 7.5 tonnes. 

Luxemburg – on roads towards Germany, the ban applies from 11:30 p.m. to midnight. On roads towards France, the ban applies from 9:30 p.m. to midnight. Restrictions apply to vehicles with GVW over 7.5 t, with or without trailer.

Germany (Reformation Day) – from midnight to 10 p.m. The ban applies only in the following federal states:  

– Brandenburg,

– Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,

– Saxony,

– Saxony-Anhalt,

– Thuringia.

Poland – from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The ban applies to heavy goods vehicles with GVW above 12 t.

Slovenia (Reformation Day) – from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The traffic ban applies to heavy goods vehicles and vehicle sets with GVW exceeding 7.5 t. 

Hungary – from 10 p.m. to midnight Ban applies to trucks, agricultural tractors with trailers with GVW above 7.5 t. 

1 November (All Saints’ Day)

Austria – from midnight to 10 p.m.

Croatia – from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.

France – from midnight to 10 p.m.

Spain – from 8 a.m. to midnight The restriction will apply only to the transport of dangerous goods (ADR).

Luxemburg – from midnight to 9:45 p.m.

Germany – from midnight to 10 p.m. The ban will apply only in the following federal states:

– Baden-Württemberg,

– Bavaria, – North Rhine-Westphalia,

– Rhineland-Palatinate,

– Saarland.

Poland – from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Slovakia – from midnight to 10 p.m. it will not be possible to drive trucks with GVW over 7.5 t and trucks with GVW over 3.5 t with a trailer or semi-trailer.

Hungary – from midnight to 10 p.m.

Italy – from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., heavy goods vehicles and vehicle sets with GVW exceeding 7.5 t will be banned.

10 November

Poland – from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

11 November

France – from midnight to 10 p.m. (Remembrance Day). Luxemburg – from midnight to 9:45 p.m. The ban applies to vehicles heading for France. 

Poland – from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Block checks

We would also like to remind you of the Tirol block checks, which will take place several times in November. Oftentimes they are connected with long traffic jams on the Bavarian highway leading to the border. At the Neu Kufstein border crossing point, trucks will be passed in blocks of 250-300 vehicles per hour on the following dates:

– 4 November, Monday after All Saints’ Day,

– 5 November, Tuesday after All Saints’ Day,

– 7 November, Thursday.

– 12 November, Tuesday

– 14 November, Thursday.

– 21 November, Thursday.

– 28 November, Thursday.
