Six months after the last increase, the prices of Eurovignettes will rise again. The new rates will apply from 1 January 2020.
The prices of Eurovignettes, despite the fact that they rose in July this year, are in for another increase. The toll rates charged in Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Sweden on trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 12 tonnes or more will be increased on 1 January 2020. The July increases mainly concerned older vehicles, i.e. those that meet the Euro 4 emission standards and lower. Back then, the annual fee for a Euro 4 truck with four or more axles was raised from €1,250 to €1,404. For a Euro 3 truck with 4 or more axles, the price after the increase is not €1,250 but €1,543. The price of the daily charge for the vignette has also risen significantly from €8 to €12.
In contrast, the increase in tolls planned for next year concerns Euro 5 trucks. The annual toll for vehicles in this category with at least four axles will increase from €1,250 to €1,327.
Unlike the German Toll Collect and the Belgian Viapass, which calculate the toll on the basis of the distance travelled, the Eurovignette is a time-based toll collection system. You, therefore, have to pay for your journey (unlike in Germany or Belgium), before you set off.
We would like to remind you that Eurovignette rates depend on the number of axles (vehicles with one to three axles, vehicles with at least four axles), emission classes and the period for which they are purchased (daily, weekly, monthly and annual vignettes). Use the calculator to view current prices.
