The new service by GEODIS, centred on the company’s operational hub in Johannesburg, links South Africa to Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Connections include major cities such as Luanda, Gaborone, Lubumbashi, Maputo, Lusaka, Ndola, Harare, and Bulawayo.

According to GEODIS, the Johannesburg hub serves as a strategic distribution gateway, offering predefined transit schedules, scalable capacity, and tailored routing. The service is available for both full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments.

“Cross-border logistics in Africa often comes with challenges. With this new service, we aim to offer our customers a seamless flow of cargo from origin to destination, backed by our regional expertise and reliable infrastructure,” said Cobus Fourie, Managing Director at GEODIS in South Africa.

GEODIS stated that the new service is part of its wider strategy to strengthen its footprint in Africa and support trade flows across the continent. The company reported revenue of €11.3 billion in 2024 and operates a global network in nearly 170 countries with around 50,000 employees.
