Closure of the A59 in Leverkusen during the night of 27 to 28 March
Already on the night of Thursday, March 27, from 8:00 p.m. until Friday, March 28, 5:00 a.m., the A59 between the Leverkusen-West junction and Leverkusen-Wiesdorf will be completely closed in both directions.
The diversions are signposted with the red dot and U11:
- In the direction of Düsseldorf: Through the city of Leverkusen to the A3 junction Leverkusen-Zentrum
- In the direction of Leverkusen: Take the A1 to the Leverkusen junction, then continue to the A3 and through the city (Willy-Brandt-Ring, Schießbergstraße, Rheinallee) to Wiesdorf
A7 closure in Hamburg: 54 hours of full closure
From 10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, the A7 will be completely closed in both directions between the Hamburg-Stellingen (26) and Hamburg-Heimfeld (32) junctions. This is due to extensive work on the Elbmarsch elevated highway, including the installation of several new traffic signal gantries and a software update for the traffic control system in the Elbe Tunnel.
The closure will begin at 9:00 p.m. with gradual ramp closures at the junctions HH-Stellingen, HH-Volkspark, HH-Bahrenfeld, HH-Othmarschen, HH-Waltershof, and HH-Heimfeld.
Detours
- Widely: A1, A21, and B205
- From the south: via Buchholzer Dreieck, Horster Dreieck, and Maschener Kreuz onto the A1
- From the north: From the Neumünster-Süd junction via the B205
Heavy goods vehicles must take a wide detour around the closure as it is not possible to drive through.
A1 closure in Leverkusen on the first weekend of April
The following weekend, the A1 in North Rhine-Westphalia will be closed. Due to work on the new Leverkusen Rhine Bridge, there will be a full closure between the Leverkusen-West and Leverkusen interchanges from 10:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7.
Autobahn GmbH recommends avoiding the area.
