Irish Freight Solutions (IFS), which operates regional hubs in Bolton, Nottingham, Lichfield, Liverpool, Dublin, Belfast and Newry, aims to simplify administration and support both fleet and subcontractor management through a single digital platform.
As Multimodal.org reports, key features of the system include automated job creation from email requests, live tracking of trailers and loads, centralised document handling, and flexible rate structures based on distance, container type or cross-border status. The platform also enables integrated planning for vehicle allocation and subcontractor coordination.
IFS provides full-load, groupage, freight forwarding, customs handling and project logistics services across several sectors, including FMCG, retail, manufacturing and construction. The company offers overnight groupage via consolidation hubs and customs expertise covering the UK, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, including Single Administrative Document (SAD) filing and deferred payment facilities.
James Wood, Managing Director at IFS, told Multimodal.org the move was aimed at strengthening operational capabilities:
“This partnership is about investing in the future of our business and improving the service we provide to our customers.”
The collaboration was facilitated by David Shawcross, Senior Business Development Manager at Qargo, who played a key role in shaping the partnership, according to the outlet.
