June truck driving bans across Europe: key dates to watch

Croatia – from 15:00 to 23:00. The ban applies to goods vehicles and vehicle combinations over 7.5 tonnes, as well as trucks and vehicles with trailers exceeding 14 m in length.

Luxembourg – from 23:30 to 24:00 for traffic heading towards Germany. The restriction applies to goods vehicles, with or without a trailer, with a maximum permissible mass over 7.5 tonnes.

Poland – from 18:00 to 22:00 for trucks over 12 tonnes.

4 June (Corpus Christi)

Austria – from 00:00 to 22:00. The restrictions cover tractor units with trailers where the maximum permissible mass of the tractor unit or trailer exceeds 3.5 tonnes, as well as goods vehicles and articulated vehicles over 7.5 tonnes.

Croatia – from 14:00 to 23:00.

Luxembourg – from 00:00 to 21:45.

Germany – from 00:00 to 22:00, but only in the following federal states: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.

Poland – from 08:00 to 22:00.

22 June

Croatia – Anti-Fascist Struggle Day – from 14:00 to 23:00.

25 June

Slovenia – Statehood Day – from 08:00 to 22:00. The ban covers goods vehicles and vehicle combinations over 7.5 tonnes.

Poland’s summer truck bans

Poland’s seasonal summer restrictions for trucks also start in late June, alongside the beginning of the school holiday period (26 June). Trucks over 12 tonnes will be restricted on Polish roads during:

  • Fridays from 18:00 to 22:00
  • Saturdays from 08:00 to 14:00
  • Sundays from 08:00 to 22:00
