On the Polish – Russian border in Bezledy, where usually is formed a queue, this time the officers stopped a truck with a value of 80 000 zł PLN and it was not the value of transported goods.
Department of Border Guard in the Warmia – Mazury Province informed about, the Mitsubishi Canter truck stopped, driven by a citizen of Russia. The officers in checking the VIN numbers were not able to determine the similarity between them. Number appears on the frame of the vehicle and the registration number was illegible. The document looked worn out, which resulted in suspicions of customs officers that the vehicle may be derived from crime.
Border guards stopped a Russian’s further journey and the whole case passed to the police.
