Road tolls in France to rise soon

Toll rates in France increase every year in line with an agreement between the operators and the State. From 1 February 2020, they will be allowed to increase prices by up to 70% of the inflation rate. The highest increase is planned by the AREA operator.

The increase in toll rates in France scheduled for 2020 will be less severe than this year’s due to the level of inflation. In that year it will be between 0.9 and 1.2%, and road tolls will increase by 0.85% on average. In 2019, the average increase was 1.9%.

According to the French media, operators will raise their prices as follows:

– COFIROUTE 0.71%

– SAPN 0.74%

– SANEF 0.75%

– APRR 0.87%

– ESCOTA 0.88%

– ASF 0.96%

– AREA 1.07%

The average increase in road tolls in France in recent years was as follows:
