Keen to highlight the issue on Facebook, Sid Hill Transport suggested that people should lay off Trucker Tim due to his ability to inspire future generations to the haulage sector.
In a post published on Tuesday, Sid Hill Transport wrote:
“A lot of sad comments about Trucker Tim at Truckfest. He’s actually a really nice person and is inspiring younger generation coming through, the kids absolutely love him and that’s great to see, especially when we are in an industry with a lot of hate. Regarding his truck just coming out of the paint shop, well I am pretty much certain that every truck which was in the final would of had some kind of touch up in a paint shop leading up to that show. He’s putting smiles of people faces, so leave the lad alone.”
The influencer added that many people had told him at Truckfest that he had got them into trucking, and said that the decision to grant him the best newcomer award was purely down to the judge.

Known for his amiable and exuberant personality, Trucker Tim launched his YouTube channel in May 2021. Since then, his channel has attracted 139,000 thousand subscribers.
The lorry driver is even more popular on TikTok, where he has a massive following of 977,000 users.
While Trucker Tim’s seemingly exhaustless ardor for trucking and making videos has seen his popularity snowball, there are inevitably some who find his style rather grating.
However, as social media conversations in drivers groups show, even some of those who aren’t Trucker Tim fans have credited the influencer with making a career for himself. Others have reacted to negative comments by saying that if you don’t like Trucker Tim’s videos, simply don’t watch.
