APC Overnight, the UK’s largest independent parcel delivery network, confirmed on 18 July that control of the company has transferred to a consortium made up of WS Holdco Limited, DBAY Advisors Limited, and other investors. Existing legacy and depot shareholders, along with members of the management team, will retain a minority stake.
William Stobart is widely known in the UK logistics industry as a co-founder and long-serving executive of the Stobart Group and its logistics spin-off, Eddie Stobart Logistics. His return to a leadership role in the sector is likely to attract attention from across the road transport and delivery industry.
In a statement, The APC said it had sought a long-term investment partner who would value the network’s past successes and support its future ambitions.

Stobart commented on the acquisition:

Andy Evans, Chairman at The APC, said the new owners shared the company’s core values and would help drive sustained development:

Eversheds Sutherland acted as legal advisors on the transaction, while PwC provided corporate finance and tax advisory services.
