Traffic bans for trucks on All Saints’ Day. See in which countries they apply

Due to All Saints’ Day, traffic restrictions for heavy goods vehicles will apply in many European countries.

Austria

In Austria, traffic ban applies to tractors or trailers with GVW over 3.5 tonnes, lorries, articulated vehicles or self-propelled industrial machines with a GVW above 7.5 tonnes. On Austrian roads, these vehicles will not be able to move on 1 November from 0:00 to 10 pm.

Croatia

In Croatia, the traffic restriction is effective from 31 October from 3 pm to 11 pm to 1 November from 2 pm to 11 pm. It applies to heavy goods vehicles and vehicle combinations with a GVW above 7.5 tonnes and vehicle combinations exceeding 14 meters in length.

France

In France, the traffic ban for trucks includes vehicles with GVW of 7.5 tonnes. They will not be allowed on French roads from 10 pm on Wednesday, 31 October to 10 pm on Thursday, 1 November.

Germany

Prohibitions in Germany are valid for vehicles with GVW above 7.5 tonnes, lorries with trailers and semi-trailers, regardless of GVW. These vehicles will not be able to travel on the roads in the following states on October 31 (Reformation Day) from 0:00 am to 10:00 pm:

– Brandenburg,

– Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,

– Saxony,

– Saxony-Anhalt,

– Thuringia.

On the 1st of November, the traffic ban will apply from 0:00 to 10 pm will be in the following states:

– Baden-Württemberg,

– Bavaria,

– North Rhine-Westphalia,

– Rhineland-Palatinate,

– Saar.

Hungary

In Hungary, the traffic ban is already in effect on Wednesday, October 31 from 2 pm. The ban will apply until 10 pm on Thursday, November 1. It applies to lorries, farm tractors with trailers with a GVW above 7.5 tonnes.

Italy

In Italy on 1 November between 9 am and 10 pm trucks and vehicle combinations with a GVW of more than 7.5 tonnes will not be able to move.

Luxembourg

Bans will also apply in Luxembourg. On roads to Germany, they should be expected on Wednesday, 31 October from 11:30 pm. However, the restrictions on roads towards France will be introduced on the same day at 9:30 pm. On Thursday, 1 November from 0:00 to 9:45 pm, on roads across the country, trucks with GVW of 7.5 tonnes with or without a trailer will not be able to move.

Poland

Traffic ban applies on Wednesday, 31 October from 6 pm to 10 pm, and on Thursday, 1 November from 8 am to 10 pm. It applies to trucks with a GVW above 12 tonnes.

Slovakia

On roads in Slovakia, on 1 November, between 0:00 and 10 pm, heavy goods vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of over 7.5 tonnes will not be able to move, as well as heavy goods vehicles with a GVW of over 3.5 tonnes with a trailer or semi-trailer.
