This project is designed to enhance the range and operational efficiency of eHGVs, addressing current challenges related to charging and helping to reduce carbon emissions.

The Freight Innovation Fund Accelerator Programme, now in its third round, is part of a £7 million, three-year effort to improve the efficiency of the freight industry through the application of advanced technologies, including swappable powerbanks, artificial intelligence, and automation.

TUAL’s partnership with Wincanton is expected to demonstrate the potential of powerbank technology for the logistics sector. By extending the range and capabilities of electric trucks, the project aims to provide more efficient fleet management and reduce reliance on public charging infrastructure.
