Let us remind the readers of the Ukrainian regulation, which concerns the obligation to submit a preliminary customs declaration prior to the entry of goods into the territory of Ukraine. If the customs documentation of the goods is not provided within three hours of the truck’s arrival at the border crossing, the Ukrainian services will turn the vehicle back.

The Customs Office of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine informs that from 1 July the Ukrainian side will return to the side of the neighbouring country – including, of course, Poland – vehicles whose drivers, within three hours from the moment of arrival, will not present the documentation of the transported goods for customs control. This also applies to the information on the lodging of a customs declaration in advance.

Ukrainian customs authorities ask to limit the entry to the territory of border crossings of heavy goods vehicles whose drivers do not have information on lodging the preliminary customs declaration on the basis of which the goods are to be introduced into the territory of Ukraine.

This is how Ukraine wants to prevent trucks from being stuck at road border crossings.
