Renault Trucks has announced a major expansion of its battery-electric truck range, introducing compact 12–14-tonne distribution vehicles for dense urban areas and new long-range tractor units aimed at regional and long-distance haulage. The updates sit alongside the launch of new construction-oriented light commercial vehicles, widening the manufacturer’s offering across multiple weight classes.
New E-Tech D12 and D14 for city distribution
The new E-Tech D12 and E-Tech D14 extend Renault Trucks’ electric distribution range down to 12 and 14 tonnes. Both models use a 2.39-metre-wide chassis and a turning radius of under 7.3 metres, positioning them for last-mile operations in constrained city streets. The D12 is intended for the French market, while the D14 will be available across Europe.
Payloads stand at 5.6 tonnes for the D12 and 6.7 tonnes for the D14. Both are equipped with front and rear air suspension, uncommon in this segment, to improve ride comfort during repeated stop-start work.
A 176 kWh LFP battery pack provides up to 220 km of range on a single charge. Renault Trucks says the models are designed to cover a full day of typical urban distribution routes. A 43 kW AC on-board charger enables operators to rely on widely available depot or destination charging.
The trucks come with the company’s digital tools as standard, including remote charging data monitoring via the Driver App and route planning through Optifleet. Optional remote charging control is also available. Production will take place in Blainville-sur-Orne, where Renault Trucks builds its medium-duty electric trucks.

At the heavy end of the line-up, Renault Trucks has launched two new versions of the E-Tech T: the E-Tech T 585 and the E-Tech T 780. The 585 kWh version focuses on maximising payload, while the 780 kWh variant targets operators needing the greatest possible range.
Both models use a new e-axle architecture that relocates motors and transmission to the rear axle, freeing chassis space for additional battery modules. They also adopt NCA lithium-ion batteries with an eight-year or one-million-kilometre performance guarantee.
On a single charge, the E-Tech T 585 is rated for up to 460 km, while the E-Tech T 780 reaches up to 600 km (based on a 32-tonne GCW reference). The models are compatible with Megawatt Charging System (MCS) stations up to 720 kW, enabling roughly 350 km of range to be added in a 45-minute rest break. Standard CCS charging up to 350 kW is also supported.
Renault Trucks has also upgraded its existing E-Tech T 540 4×2, now capable of up to 450 km per charge. All heavy-duty electric models will continue to be built in Bourg-en-Bresse.

Alongside the electric truck announcements, Renault Trucks has expanded its light commercial vehicle offering with two new versions of the Master designed for construction, utility and mixed-use environments.
The Master Red EDITION Propulsion introduces rear-wheel drive and a gross vehicle weight of up to 4.5 tonnes. Available as a van or chassis cab, it offers up to 17 m³ of loading volume and supports a wide range of body types up to 22 m³, including tippers, boxes and flatbeds. Options include a power take-off for auxiliary equipment and a rear differential lock for low-grip sites.
The Master Red EDITION OFFROAD is designed for light construction work and uneven terrain, featuring reinforced suspension, increased ride height, steel underbody protection and durable interior materials. It is offered in diesel or fully electric versions and can be specified with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
