The initiative, coordinated by the European Road Traffic Police Network (ROADPOL), is being conducted simultaneously in most European countries and will run from Monday to Sunday (5–11 May). It is the second of three inspection campaigns planned for 2025, all aimed at improving road safety and ensuring compliance with regulations.
As part of the campaign, officers will inspect the technical condition of vehicles, check how cargo is secured, and verify compliance with social regulations — including drivers’ working hours, rest periods, and the proper use of tachographs.
It’s worth noting that this is the first truck inspection campaign following the end of the transition period, during which no penalties were issued for the absence of G2V2 tachographs in vehicles engaged in international transport. As of now, failing to have the required device may lead to significant fines.
The next “Truck & Bus” operation is scheduled for 17–23 November 2025 — so it’s advisable to ensure full compliance well in advance.
