The 2023 ROADPOL Speed Marathon, the world’s largest anti-speeding law enforcement campaign, is set to take place on Friday, April 21st.

The annual event, which will be carried out by road police forces across Europe for 24 hours, will see officers enforcing speed limits using physical interventions and automatic devices such as fixed cameras, in an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of excessive speed.

The campaign is part of the 7-day Speed Operation (17-23 April) and this year marks the tenth time it has been carried out across the continent.

Last year, over 14,900 police officers checked more than 3.1 million drivers for their speed, with over 100,000 violations reported.
