The Polish game developer Movie Games announces the creation of a new game that will „move the player to the realities of winter in Alaska, where the hero, driver of an American truck will carry out orders and fight for survival every day” – read the announcements. Sounds exciting?
Alaskan Truck Simulator, because that’s the name of the new game, is the result of cooperation between the Polish company and the Discovery television channel. The game will be created based on the program of this station, which will be launched at the end of this year.
„Real life is the inspiration”
Cooperation will be based primarily on the use, to create a unique game plot, captivating stories of the protagonists of the program. The main advantage of cooperation is therefore both the uniqueness and authenticity of the story that forms the basis for the game scenario, but also substantive and marketing support for an experienced and recognizable partner like Discovery – explains Dominika Szot marketing manager of Movie Games. – Thanks to our cooperation, we want to guarantee the player a realistic and exciting adventure. Its uniqueness will be ensured by the high quality of workmanship, but also a story for which inspiration is real life.
For now, she cannot reveal more details about the television program. A little more is known about the game itself.
– The game Alaskan Truck Simulator will be available for PCs, there are also planned versions for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles – reveals Szot.
– At the current stage of the development of the game, the producer decided not to disclose the final price of the product.
However, the studio published the first photos. The game will have it premiere at the turn of 2018 and 2019.
In the footsteps of gold seekers
Establishing cooperation between Discovery and the publisher of video games should not surprise those who follow what is happening in the computer production market. In 2017, TV created a Gold Rush gold simulator from PlayWay. After its premiere, the title immediately hit the TOP 3 Bestsellers list on the Steam platform – we read in the Alaskan Truck Simulator press materials.
