While some eActros 600 units are being delivered directly to customers, the majority of vehicles produced in the initial months will be sent to branches and dealers as demonstration models. This aligns with the standard approach for introducing new vehicle models.
Stina Fagerman, Head of Marketing, Sales and Services at Mercedes-Benz Trucks, stated,
“With its 500 km range as a 40-ton truck without intermediate charging, the eActros 600 is a milestone for the electrification of long-distance transport.”
The first customers include nine logistics and transport companies, such as Contargo GmbH & Co. KG, SCHADE Logistic GmbH, and Wessels Holding GmbH & Co. KG. These purchases were supported by the KsNI funding programme, which promotes climate-friendly drive systems and related infrastructure.
The eActros 600 has a battery capacity exceeding 600 kWh and an electric drive axle developed in-house, enabling a 500 km range under practical conditions with a gross train weight of 40 tons. With intermediate charging during driver breaks, the truck can travel over 1,000 km per day.
The truck uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, which offer long service life and high energy efficiency, with more than 95% of the installed capacity usable. The vehicle is designed for durability of up to 1.2 million kilometres over ten years, with batteries retaining 80% health by the end of this period.
The eActros 600 underwent testing during the “eActros 600 European Testing Tour 2024,” covering 15,000 kilometres across 22 countries. The truck achieved an average energy consumption equivalent to around 10 litres of diesel per 100 km.
The vehicle was named “International Truck of the Year 2025” by commercial vehicle journalists from 24 European countries, highlighting its potential contribution to the long-distance transport sector.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks offers the eActros 600 as part of a broader solution, including consulting and charging infrastructure under the TruckCharge brand.
