The new long-haul and construction vehicle models are more economical, comfortable, and safer than their predecessors, the manufacturer assures. According to Renault, fuel consumption has been reduced by a further 3% compared to the previous generation. The company recalls that two years ago, the introduction of ‘Turbo Compound’ technology for higher torque and improved engine efficiency resulted in fuel savings of 10% compared to earlier powertrains.

For the new generation, Renault Trucks has optimised various powertrain components, including the engine, transmission, and axles, and is equipping the vehicles with A+ grade tyres as standard.

Even better fuel economy

For long-distance transport, Renault Trucks offers an additional version, the T Smart Racer, which has been specially optimised for fuel efficiency. The Smart Racer combines the DE13 Turbo engine with a full range of fuel-saving features. As a result, this version consumes 14% less fuel and emits 15% less CO2 than the standard model.

In addition, the T, T High, and Renault Trucks E-Tech T models, designed for long-distance haulage, are equipped with cameras instead of traditional rear-view mirrors. The manufacturer claims this improves aerodynamics and further reduces fuel consumption. These cameras, mounted in folding wings, are connected to two in-cab screens that display the vehicle’s surroundings and are equipped with an infrared mode to enhance night vision.

The system is also available as optional equipment on the Renault Trucks C, K, and Renault Trucks E-Tech C construction models.

Improved safety and driving comfort

The 2025 models come with an improved adjustable power steering system that enhances vehicle stability at high speeds while offering more responsive steering at low speeds. This makes manoeuvring in urban and suburban environments easier. The system combines hydraulic power steering with an electric motor, using sensors to adjust the vehicle’s behaviour in real time based on the truck’s movements and the driver’s input.

Additionally, a line-keeping system with corrective steering is available. This system returns the vehicle to its lane in the event of an unintentional deviation, offering additional protection for vulnerable road users by reducing blind spots.

For better visibility, the high-beam headlights are now activated automatically based on external conditions, such as weather and the presence of other road users. This feature complements the automatic low beam, which was already standard in the previous generation. Optionally, additional working lamps can be installed on the chassis or at the rear of the cab for optimal visibility during operations.
