According to the company, the number of trailers dedicated to its Moroccan services has increased to 35 units. The additional capacity is intended to serve rising demand from the fashion, retail and automotive sectors.
The new trailers feature steel walls, roofs and doors and are equipped with GPS tracking and remote door monitoring systems. Davies Turner says these specifications are aimed at improving cargo security and providing real-time visibility during transport.
The company currently operates full-load and groupage services between the UK, Ireland and Morocco. Standard transit times are reported to be four to five days, with shorter lead times available for express and van-based services.
Operations in Morocco
Davies Turner has an established operational presence in Morocco, including cooperation with local partner DTCO MAROC and a company delegate based in Tangier. This setup is used to manage customs procedures at Tangier Port and coordinate clearance with local customs brokers.
The company is also involved in load management activities in Morocco, covering garment and general cargo handling at factories, ports and free zones, as well as urban deliveries in Tangier, Rabat/Salé and Casablanca.
Ireland-related flows
On the Ireland–Morocco axis, Davies Turner reports transport activity linked to the aerospace and automotive sectors, using both round-trip and one-way trailer movements. These flows are organised on a just-in-time basis, reflecting production schedules in those industries.
In addition to road transport, the company’s air and sea freight divisions support imports of raw materials into Morocco and exports of finished goods to Western Europe and the United States.
